Centurian was built in Broome W.A. in 1955 from local hardwood
jarrah. She now features many modern comforts from a 'no expenses spared'
refit carried out over the past eight years:
- Air-conditioned master cabin and galley.
- Sleeping accommodation for eight people.
- Spacious saloon seats eight in comfort.
- Aft deck also seats eight around a roomy table.
- Diesel-driven 8 kva generator-set, plus Honda generator-set.
- Perkins Turbo V8 main engine, with ample power to cruise at 6 knots and
800 rpm.
- Twin control stations - fly bridge and wheel house.
- Full safety equipment includes 8-person life raft.
- Instruments include: commercial quality 'Coursemaster' autopilot, Koden
radar, Koden Satnar Chart Plotter GPS.
- Centurian was in Survey 2C only three years ago and could be
re-established with minimal effort.
